What a cool looking car! And your animal photos are great…Alexis, the bunny rabbit looks so sweet.
Your pumpkin pie oatmeal bake sounds so delicious. I have most of the ingredients except the cottage cheese and buttermilk. Can I substitute something else? I can always head to the store though…just curious :)

Pie for breakfast is never wrong. Especially not pumpkin pie. And a single serving too! Looks so delicious. I can’t wait to try this.

Looks and sounds delicious. I have canned pumpkin being posted to me so I might make this at the weekend, I’m torn between it and pumpkin pancakes!

Looks like you had a blast! Okay I am now thinking we’re even more on the same wavelength…I too have a pumpkin breakfast cake that I have been eating all week, and will be posting next week!

I love that you named the rabbit Alexis. It cracks me up when animals have human names. Your post brought back one interesting memory, given the apple picking and the llamas. Once, while driving from Toronto to Montreal when I was a kid, my family stopped at The Big Apple. Have you been? They have a petting zoo….and let’s just say I saw two llamas getting to know each other pretty well. Oh, the memories…the trauma… :) It was educational to say the least.

Just saw this post and and I apologize if this has been said already, but that looks like a stray domestic rabbit and not a wild one. She (it is almost definitely a she) really is not equipped to survive outside – it’s not very different than someone letting a hamster or a dog loose to fend for themselves. Not sure where in Quebec you live but feel free to contact me if you need help finding someone/somewhere that will take him in and find him a forever home.

The fat stores under the chin are almost exclusively found in females. Not sure what the exact reason is, but I have seen it with my own rabbits and I volunteer at a shelter with almost 100 rabbits (many in foster) and I have yet to see a male with that trait. Rabbits should NOT be kept in a cage full time, many people let them out to free range for a few hours daily and/or build large indoor pens for them. It’s true that some can survive outside all year round but it’s less than optimal for them and they are at the mercy of predators, parasites, and the elements when they are kept that way – even in a hutch. Not to mention it’s a sad, lonely, and stressful existence for a companion animal… kind of begs the question why get a rabbit at all if you’re going to keep it that way?

I had my husband make this for me for my birthday breakfast last week and we both loved it (I might add he is a very picky oatmeal eater!) I made it again this week and doubled it so I could enjoy it several days in a row! Great for cold fall/winterish mornings! Great recipe thanks!
