smoked ham,bone-in
(about 6lbs | 2.75kg)

Dijon mustard

pale ale

pure maple syrup

Instructions
Remove the mesh from the ham, if present and trim excess fat, if any. Place the ham in the slow cooker and baste it with the mustard.
Add the cloves, beer, maple syrup and water to the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on high for about 8 hours or until the ham is fork-tender and practically falls apart when you pull at it with a fork.
Remove the ham from the slow cooker and let it cool slightly, then slice or break into pieces.
Strain the cooking juices and serve with the ham.
